Steelhead Fishing Guides – Forks WA

Olympic Peninsula Fishing Guides

Lost Forest offers fishing trips for anglers of all ability. We offer Spey casting instruction (the long fly-fishing rods). We have the ability to fish longer floats offering more chances at fish. We usually fish sinlge-hand fly-fishing rods from the boat as this offers the best chances of hooking a winter steelhead on the fly. Spey style casting with two hand rods is usually done from shore on specific runs. Included with the price of the trip is just about everything you need, including waders and boots if necessary. The weather on the Olympic Peninsula can range from sunny and pleasant to downright hypothermic, so it is best to dress in layers and be prepared to get wet! This area of the Pacific Northwest is a temperate rainforest, meaning it gets as much precipitation as a jungle but that does NOT mean it will be warm. Proper clothing and a good guide will help your chances at finding wild steelhead even though these fish are difficult to find and challenging to land. Hooking wild fish can be the highlight of your trip and may just be a fish of a lifetime on the fly!
